You can build your network in many ways. Joining LinkedIn groups can connect you to people with similar interests. They might be in your same career field or they could simply share some of the same values and they could guide you to a potential job. You can also build your network through networking events, contacting old colleagues or employers, or even getting in touch with college professors. 

Decide on a Lifestyle 

As you look for a new job, you should consider what kind of lifestyle you want to have. For example, you should determine where you want to be, how much you want to commute, and what you want your schedule to look like. You should determine if you want to work in-person, remotely, or a mix. You should consider what role you want to have, such as a leadership role. When you understand the lifestyle you’re looking for, it’s much easier to find a career to match that. 

It can be difficult to find a new job, but if you want to find one that fulfills you then you need to be ready to take your time. The right job is out there and you simply need to widen your search. It’s worth it to find a job you truly enjoy.
